I wore it like you, around my hips. With my rapidly expanding girth, it was uncomfortable to wear but it was the only way I could get about. When D-day came, I hobbled into the hospital on crutches and walked out three days later without any support.

I'd forgotten I still have this 'corset' in a drawer somewhere so I must look it out for the next time I get a SI joint tear, which happens fairly regularly. I think I could wear it higher up for support until the most painful phase is over.stephhttp://biopsy.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34940564.post-89026237523156890962010-06-08T10:54:19.649+01:002010-06-08T10:54:19.649+01:00Veronica: Is yours a SI belt rather than a corset?...Veronica: Is yours a SI belt rather than a corset? I have a feeling mine is supposed to be worn more as a lumbar support but it's very effective as a pelvic support. I'll ask my physio what it's actually called as I'm sure you can buy them quite affordably and it really DOES make a difference. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be worn under clothing, but wearing it over avoids chafing. Although I only wear it for short periods of time.
So far physio prog going really well-we're working on making reflexes work properly rather than the 'can't do properly it cos I'm such a bendy muscle so I'll find any way to do it & hope for the best' I think most of it would be too hands on specialised to do with the kids but we're noticing eye tracking is particularly important & problematic. I don't know if Amy & Isaac can catch, bounce or kick balls (sure Isaac's too young still!) but that kind of basic, repetitive exercise will really help. Physio recommends anything that makes bendy kids work their eye hand co-ordination so for once game consoles are a bonus!BenefitScroungingScumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08939136229593231935noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34940564.post-79141329212672499852010-06-08T00:48:00.463+01:002010-06-08T00:48:00.463+01:00Your corset is much sexier than mine though - plus...Your corset is much sexier than mine though - plus it looks more comfortable. Mine isn't wide enough and while it does okay things for my pelvis, my hips fall out around it, so I gave it up. Plus, it rubbed and left chafe marks. Ouch.Veronica Foalehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05519401661788911341noreply@blogger.com
