Yes! I can really relate to that. I received thick bedsocks, an elctric blanket, a body warmer and fleecy pyjamas this year (and all I really wanted was Keanu Reeves)
Ruf insists that I wear socks in bed at this time of year. He doesnt care for my protestations of deeply unsexy. He says permanently frozen feet on his leg are the biggest turn off :) Hope you had a good one x

I hunted high and low for a pair of socks hand knitted from a combination of yaks hair and wasps legs shavings lined with the glutinous sap from the jojoba tree. The reason I ask is that when the postman emptied the postbox he was chased by a pack of local dogs which were attracted by the scent of the socks...I think! Nope, you REALLY know when you are getting old when you appreciate the hell out of gifts like that. We had socks for christmas this year and were genuinely really happy to get them. I remember a time when I was most unappreciative of useful gifts:P I am putting fluffy 'old lady' bootee slippers on my wishlist for my birthday.
You could always put the panties on the plaster cat and wear the socks. Them babies will warm you up. Merry Christmas!

I got about 8 pairs of fleece socks (that's not counting the 4 pair I already own) and sweatpants and a sweatshirt for christmas! I hear ya, sister!
