Life in a broken bureaucracy with a bendy and borked body
Hi. Saw your comment and I thank you for reading my new blog. I haven't researched if there are milder forms of EDS; I have hypermobility of fingers and spontaneous recurrent shoulder dislocations...
Countrydoctor: Hello and thanks for dropping by, your blog is wonderful!Yes, there are milder forms of EDS, best to think of it as a spectrum starting with those who are hypermobile and it is more advantageous than anything else, people like say David Beckham. Then there are those who are hypermobile who also have problems arising from it, these are probably the largest group and typically in the UK are diagnosed with Hypermobility Syndrome, then there are those with the varying types of EDS who tend to be much more severely affected and have widespread issues caused by the collagen defect, say issues with swallowing, in my case I'm as hypermobile internally as I am externally etc.I hope that helps, I'm planning to write a full post on the subject soon.
