Happy Birthday!

Today is the first birthday of benefit scrounging scum. I started to write all about my laudable, but extremely dull aims in setting up the blog, but frankly it's the same old wank everyone spews out, and I only really want to say this.

Thank you, to every single person who reads this blog. I keep going because of the comments you leave and value them all. Today I'd like to ask every person who reads this post to comment. Just so I know you're there. Thank you.

These are some of my favourite posts.

You smell amazing

I am me

Things can only get better

But you promised

No special treatment- the practical response

A question of chance

I see your true colours

howdy there zebra! Happy blogiversary. It's thanks to you that I now know I need to talk to my rheumatologist about these hypermobility issues ... although she'll probably dismiss them because I haven't fallen apart. yet.

Happy birthday!

I read your blog every day, but often don't comment, sometimes because somebody else has made a better comment that I could and sometimes because I can't think of any comment from me that would help.

Happy blogiversary! Sorry I don't always comment... I promise I do always read...

Hi BG

Happy Birthday!

I found this blog when I was looking on google for what I am meant to do with my life as a youngish person with chronic physical illness/disabilties.

I didn't get very far in my search, but I did find your blog which as I have said before as anon, has helped to keep me sane, especially through the recent welfare reforms.

Thank you

Rachael

Hello BG.

I have Hypermobile EDS too, I found this blog a few months ago randomly whilst googling.

I spent an entire afternoon reading through the archives and now I check every few days just to see if you have updated.

There are times when I laugh out loud, there are times when I wish I could just give you a big bar of chocolate and others when I share your anger at the 'system' and the people who call us 'scum'.

Happy first anniversary, long may it continue.

From Lex, xxx

(Incidently a first for me too, I have never commented on a blog before)

Wordsmith : Thank you, I was wondering how you were just recently, I hope all's well with you and life is easier now you don't have to battle for your DLA!

Cogi: TY, I worry about that with having alot of posts along the same subject matter. Hope you're well x

Andrea: Hello, thank you! I'm so glad you know about your hypermobility, I really do believe that's the biggest part of the battle for us, once you know so much easier to deal. Good luck with your rheumy, I don't know where you're based, but if you're in the UK perhaps you could get your GP to refer you to one of the specialist centres?

Spyscribbler: I know exactly what you mean, blogging has changed my life too!

Claire: Thank you and hello

Christine: Again thank you and hello

Elaine: TY I know exactly what you mean, it can be quite difficult to know what to say in comments

JaneB: Thank you, do say hello again anytime x

Serena: Same to you x

Dave: Ty, I'm off to check yours out now

Faceless: Where would this blog be without you?! Any time you fancy an anonymous guest post about how things work from your perspective just let me know, I'm quite sure people would be fascinated!

Rachel: Thank you, and hope you're doing ok x

Anon: TY

Lex: TY for both your comment and your first time commenting, I think it can be a little intimidating sometimes, hope you're doing ok too, if not chocolate is the answer to everything ;)

Cake: TY as am I on your blog, I don't always comment but I look forward to all your posts x

Ben: Hello and thank you!

Vi: TY honey, are you sticking with Vi as a comments name? x

Marla: Thank you :)

Grendel: TY, I do indeed know what you mean, but the day of the week is enough of a struggle to remember, let alone whether this is blog year 2 or 3 ;)

Slip: Thank you, hope all is well in your world x
