Blah

I've got a serious case of the blah's. Every so often I slip back into pity party mode for a few minutes before finding something interestinger to think about, usually sex, and snapping out of it. I'm bored. Bored of being in so much pain. Bored of being unable to focus because of the so much pain. Bored of being bored.

I made it to the bench again today. Hot chocolatey, low calorie, chemical crap substitue drink intact. Which is more than I can say for the pavement. That was showing various signs of my previous visits. At least I know where the mug I was sure I remembered having went. Maybe someone will find it in hundreds of years amongst the splatters of peppermint tea and skinny latte I've spilt and pontificate as to what it all means.

I made it to the bench though. Yeay! It was nice. The sun was out, the birds were singing. There was the hot chocolate imposter. There were even helicopters and lifeboatmen. People smiled at me, I smiled back at them. What's not to like?

Other than, it's y'know, a bench. And it was the most exciting thing I did all day.

More exciting than what I did today: stayed in bed and didn't bother getting dressed. I got up at 8, let the cat out, went back to bed. Up at 10 to let the cat in, played Farmville on facebook (join, do: good fun), cat went to bed, I went to bed till 4.30. Got up, let the cat out, let him in again at 6.30, made an omelette and just finished watching the x-factor.

I think your bench needs balloons and streamers. That way it would be exciting! (And still, just a bench.)

Knowing where your bench is I think it's a pretty exciting bench. You have the sea well at least when the tides in!
I'm sorry life is tough at the moment.
When I'm mobile again shall we meet up for a coffee even if it's on your bench?
xx

Sorry to hear you're feeling a bit rubbish.

The wench on the bench, eh?

Sorry, Bendy

How I wish I could take your pain away.

Yeah, I've had plenty of those days, especially back when I was ill. It's good though that you focused on the positive aspect of making it to the bench.

Is there anything that you can take that will effectively control your pain without knocking you unconscious as well?

"Old friends...
Old friends...
Sat on their park bench
like bookends...
A newspaper blown through the grass
falls on the round toes
of the high shoes
of the old friends...

Old friends,
Winter companions,
the old men...
Lost in their overcoats,
waiting for the sunset..
The sounds of the city
sifting through the trees
settle like dust
on the shoulders
of the old friends...

Can you imagine us years from today
sharing a park bench quietly?
How terribly strange to be seventy...

Old friends,
memory brushes the same years
silently sharing the same fear...

Time it was, and what a time it was, it was a time of innocence... a time of confidences...

Long ago, it must be, I have a photograph... Preserve your memories; they're all that's left you "

In case you don't make the connection it's Simon and Garfunkel from 1968...not entirely apposite I suppose, but it somehow struck a chord...

I know there is a post since this one but for some reason my Reader is not working.

To Mr Nightime - Meds and EDS are a little odd, there needs to be more investigations into that aspect and there lack of efficacy. I am on enough pain meds to put a donkey unconcious and that just dulls enough to sit here.

BG if it helps I can't write my blog at the minute for I feel I don't 'do' enough to write anything of note. This time of year and EDS do not mix.
