You know how it is when you get chatting to a complete stranger and they tell you all about how they were in the SAS? There's one in every pub!
So, I didn't believe the man I spoke to earlier who told me all about his father's incredible exploits....until I googled the name he gave me that is. He's the spitting image of the man in the photo, Sgt Dougie Wright MM. RIP

Pretty sure members and ex-members of secret military organisations tend to keep quite schtum over their identities. Reduces the risk of angry people killing them or trying to extort info from them I imagine :)
But I can reveal I am actually Batman .. honest :)
You can never tell...I lived opposite a bed-ridden old man (tended by his wife, a former WAAF at a station he'd served at) for years, before discovering he was one of "The Few"...he'd been eventually shot down in, I seem to recall, 1943 ...and was still suffering from those injuries fifty years on...sadly he died a few years after...
sic transit etc...
BendyGirl, I am leaving something for you in my Tuesday post.
